During the warmer months we set up a small dance floor in Argyle Square, Carlton (or occasionally a beer garden in Brunswick) and invite people to come along and dance and picnic with us. This is a FREE community event.

This idea was originally inspired by dancers in Berlin. Our friends Kate and Stephanie began Open Air Shuffle in 2015, and Kristin and Raif have been the primary organisers since 2019.

We think it’s a terrific way to get to know the balboa community in Melbourne. It’s family friendly and everyone is welcome, regardless of experience. Keep an eye on the website and socials for our upcoming 2025/26 dates.
